About Moira Kane

I’ve always struggled with these little bios. How do you condense yourself into a few simple sentences?

I could tell you about how I wrote my first book when I was seven. It was 18 pages and had more misspelled words than correct ones. I knew then that I wanted to be a writer. My middle school years were spent sneaking books under my desk and scribbling out my own stories in the back of my planner.

By the time I was fifteen my hunger for story was insatiable. I read everything I could get my hands on and ticked the days off my calendar when my library hold would be ready. Seriously, I waited 13 weeks to get my hands on a library copy of Twilight. It was somewhere between teenage vampires and Hunger Games love triangles that I realized my obsession with romance.

There is no high quite like that first lingering kiss, the one they resisted so fiercely for the first half of the book (yes, I like slow burns). My drug of choice is happily-ever-afters, and I like reading them as much as I like writing them.

It took me years to find the guts to publish my first book (under a different pen name) and to be honest, it was a mess. But I kept going. I tapped out stories in my phone notes while I was putting my newborn to sleep. I stayed awake long past decent hours typing away.

All that dedication led me here. I’m now a published indie author. I have dozens of touching reviews. I’ve met fellow authors and amazing readers with kindred hearts to mine.

Writing books is a dream come true for me and I wouldn’t have been able to do it without you, dear reader. So, thank you for visiting my website today and thanks for taking the time to read my books. A few more fun facts about me:

-I married my middle school sweetheart when I was 19. I’ve been in love with him since I grew boobs.

-I have two sons. They’re toddlers and they’re Irish twins. Most days I count it a win if no one sets the house (or their brother) on fire.

-When I’m not writing I’m a full-blown homesteader. Yup, call me Ma Ingalls. I grow tomatoes and even can them. Someday I hope to have my own dairy cow.
